Just eight months ago, the market capitalization of the largest project at the time, Centrifuge (CFG), slightly exceeded USD 100 million. This comparison reveals the intense growth experienced by the RWA sector in the last half-year alone, demonstrating the increasing confidence and financial inflow from investors.

Right now, the largest project in the RWA sector is Ondo (ONDO). Its market capitalization surpassed USD 1.725 billion and a daily trading volume of nearly USD 350 million. Ondo represents a relatively new but leading project within the RWA sector, characterized by a dominant upward trend in price. The peak price occurred at the beginning of June this year, marking it as a significant player in the market.

Ondo Finance offers an innovative platform for ordinary users to invest in short-term US Treasuries and bank demand deposits. It allows stablecoin holders to convert their digital currency into USD. The purpose is to buy highly liquid, multi-billion dollar exchange-traded funds. New fund tokens reflecting these investments are then minted and deposited into the users’ wallets. As these assets generate yield, it is reinvested to purchase more assets, enhancing the value of held tokens. Upon redemption, these fund tokens are burned, and users receive USDC in return, thereby creating a cycle of investment and return that underpins the value of these tokens.
